David Steffen is an American businessman and Republican politician from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Born on October 12, 1971, he currently serves as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 4th Assembly district since 2015. Steffen graduated from Ashwaubenon High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Before entering politics, Steffen spent twelve years in the education and non-profit sectors. Notably, he served as the Director of Operations for the Legislative Leadership Institute Academy of Foreign Affairs in partnership with the Irish American University. His operational responsibilities took him to various international locations, including Dublin, Ireland; Bern, Switzerland; Tbilisi, Georgia; Baku, Azerbaijan; and Kigali, Rwanda. Additionally, Steffen played a pivotal role in the 2001–2003 renovation of Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers. His success with that project contributed to the development of the new $130 million Titletown District adjacent to Lambeau Field.
In his political career, Steffen has served on the Howard Village Board and the Brown County Board of Supervisors. He was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in November 2014 and has been re-elected for subsequent terms. Currently, he chairs the International Affairs and Commerce committee.
David Steffen continues to own and operate multiple businesses, including a farm-to-table food distribution company and a management agency for authors and public speakers. He resides in Howard, Wisconsin.
