Biography

David Sinclair is a Democratic member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 50. He was sworn in on November 9, 2023.

Sinclair is a lawyer and former Bath City Councilor. He has also served on the boards of the Bath Area Food Bank and Two Bridges Regional Jail Authority.

Sinclair ran unopposed in a special election for Bath’s lone state representative seat, keeping it in Democratic hands. He has said that he plans to focus on affordable housing if he is elected.

Sinclair is a lifelong Democrat and a graduate of Brandeis University. He spent 16 years as a computer software designer before becoming a lawyer.

Sinclair is married and has two children. He is a resident of Bath, Maine.
