Biography

David Lee Zwonitzer (born March 10, 1953) is an American politician and a Republican member of the Wyoming House of Representatives. He has represented District 9 from 2007 until 2017, and District 8 since 2023. His son, Dan Zwonitzer, is also a member of the Wyoming House.

Zwonitzer earned his B.S. in water resources from the University of Wyoming in 1975 and an M.S. in water resources from the same university in 1978. Prior to his political career, he worked as an auctioneer and owned Z’s Home Furnishings.

Throughout his tenure, Zwonitzer has been involved in local service organizations, youth sports, and charity auctioneering. His contributions to Wyoming’s legislative landscape have spanned multiple terms, and he continues to serve his constituents with dedication.
