Biography

Dave Considine (born March 29, 1952) is an American special education teacher and Democratic politician hailing from Baraboo, Wisconsin. He has been serving as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 81st Assembly district since 2015.

Dave Considine grew up in North Prairie, Wisconsin, and graduated from Mukwonago High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater and later obtained a master’s degree in education from Viterbo University. For an impressive 29 years, he dedicated himself to teaching at Jack Young Middle School in the Baraboo School District before retiring in 2014 to embark on his political journey.

In November 2014, Considine was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly as a Democrat. Throughout his tenure, he has been a steadfast advocate for education, special needs students, and the well-being of his community. Notably, on January 31, 2024, he announced that he would not seek re-election for a sixth term in the Assembly, choosing to retire at the end of the 106th Wisconsin Legislature.
