State Rep. Danny Lopez of Carmel was first elected in 2024 to serve House District 39, which includes portions of Carmel and Westfield in Hamilton County.

Lopez is Executive Vice President for Community and External Affairs and Corporate Communications at Pacers Sports & Entertainment. He previously served as Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President at Strada Education Network, and he held several senior roles in the administrations of Govs. Eric Holcomb, Mike Pence, and Mitch Daniels.

Lopez is a two-time recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash Award, which is the highest honor bestowed by Indiana’s Governor, and was selected to the Indianapolis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list for 2015.

Lopez received his bachelor’s degree from Florida International University and earned a master’s degree from Georgia State University. He and his wife, Sofia, live in Carmel with their two children.
