Biography

Representative Danny Busick, a Republican, represents the counties of Sullivan, Mercer, Putnam and the western part of Adair (District 3) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2018.

In addition to his legislative duties, Busick is the owner of Jim’s Radio & TV, which was founded by his father in 1956. He also served as an associate commissioner for Sullivan County for 14 years.

He attended Central Christian College of the Bible and is an elder of the Newtown Christian Church. Busick served as minister of Glenwood Christian Church for 25 years and as minister of Humphreys Christian Church for 20 years.

Busick resides in Newtown with his wife, Sandy. They have 8 children, and have also served as foster parents. Busick’s great grandfather, Paul Purdy, served as a State Representative for Sullivan County from 1905-1908.
