Biography

Daniel Zolnikov is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 22 in the Montana State Senate. He assumed office on January 2, 2023, and his current term ends on January 4, 2027. He won the general election on November 8, 2022.

Zolnikov earned a B.S. in business administration, information systems, marketing, and management from the University of Montana, Missoula, in 2010 and an M.B.A. from the same university in 2019. His career experience includes working as a management consultant at Zolnikov Consulting, a sales and marketing manager in a Billings, Montana, small business startup, and as an implementation consultant at Fast Enterprises.

Before his tenure in the Senate, Zolnikov served in the Montana House of Representatives. He is noted for pursuing pro-privacy legislation and was the chairman of the House Federal Relations, Energy and Telecommunications Committee. In September 2020, he resigned to accept a position with an energy company. His wife, Katie Zolnikov, was appointed to replace him.
