Dan Knodl is a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing District 24. He assumed office on January 6, 2025, and his current term is set to end on January 4, 2027.

Born on December 14, 1958, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dan Knodl grew up in Menomonee Falls, where he graduated from Menomonee Falls East High School in 1977. He briefly attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison before embarking on a career as a business owner. Knodl’s professional experience includes owning and operating the Reef Point Resort, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit.

Knodl’s political journey began with his election to the Washington County Board of Supervisors in 2006. Two years later, he successfully ran for the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing District 24. He served in this role from 2009 until 2023, during which he was re-elected multiple times, demonstrating his strong connection with his constituents. In 2023, he transitioned to the Wisconsin State Senate after winning a special election to represent the 8th Senate District. However, following redistricting changes, Knodl decided to return to the Assembly, reclaiming his seat in District 24 in 2025.

Throughout his career, Knodl has been an active member of his community, participating in organizations such as the Ozaukee/Washington Land Trust, the Pike Lake Sportsmans Club, and the MF Optimist Club. His dedication to public service is further reflected in his leadership roles, including serving as Majority Caucus Chair and Assistant Majority Leader during his tenure in the Assembly.
