Biography

Representative Dan Garner is a member of the Idaho House of Representatives, representing District 28B. He is a member of the Republican Party and assumed office on December 1, 2022. His current term ends on December 1, 2024.

Garner is no stranger to Idaho, having spent the past four decades as a farmer and a rancher. He has farmed and ranched in Clifton, Idaho for 38 years. He earned a bachelor of science degree in economics from Brigham Young University (BYU), Provo, Utah. He has owned and operated several successful small businesses.

Garner has served on the local school board since 2013 and on the State Farm Bureau Board since 2015. He has also served on the American Farm Bureau Organic and Direct Marketing Committees. In 2012, he was the recipient of the FFA Honorary State Farmer Degree.

In addition to his farming and ranching career, Garner has focused on ensuring Idaho is a great place to continue to live and work, despite unprecedented growth. He has raised four wonderful children in Idaho.

In the Idaho House of Representatives, Garner serves on several committees including Agricultural Affairs, Education, Judiciary, Rules & Administration. He is dedicated to serving his constituents and working towards a better future for Idaho.
