Biography

Dan Bartel is a member of the Republican Party and currently represents District 15 in the Montana State Senate. He assumed office on November 8, 2021, and his current term ends on January 6, 2025.

Before his tenure in the State Senate, Bartel served in the Montana House of Representatives, representing District 29 from 2017 to 2021. He was appointed to the state Senate in November 2021 to replace Ryan Osmundson.

Bartel ran in a special election to the Montana State Senate to represent District 15 and won in the special general election on November 8, 2022.

In addition to his political career, Bartel has been assigned to several committees, including the Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Committee, Finance and Claims Committee, Senate State Administration Committee, and Legislative Audit Committee.
