Biography

Cyndi Howerton is an American politician who is currently serving as a member of the Kansas House of Representatives from the 98th district. She assumed office on August 25, 2021.

Before her political career, Howerton worked as a tax service manager. Her career in politics began when she was the Republican nominee for the 86th district of the Kansas House of Representatives in 2020. However, she lost the election to Stephanie Byers.

In August 2021, Howerton was appointed to the Kansas House by members of the Sedgwick County Republican Party. This appointment was to fill the seat left vacant after the death of Ron Howard.

Howerton ran for re-election to the Kansas House of Representatives to represent District 98 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. Her current term ends on January 13, 2025.

On the personal front, Howerton is married to Con Howerton, a pastor and veteran of the United States Air Force who served in the Gulf War. They are parents to four children.

In addition to her political career, Howerton is also known for her contributions to the community. She is a resident of Wichita, Kansas, U.S., where she is actively involved in various community service activities.
