Biography

Representative Cyndi Buchheit-Courtway, a Republican, represents parts of Festus, Hillsboro, De Soto, Valles Mines and Dittmer in Jefferson County (District 115). She was elected to her first two-year term in November 2020.

In addition to her legislative duties, Buchheit-Courtway works in the healthcare industry at Mercy Hospital Jefferson, where she was given the Dignity Award in 2019-2020.

Buchheit-Courtway graduated from St. Vincent de Paul High School in 1994 and earned an associate’s degree from Jefferson County Community College in 2018.

Born July 7, 1976, in Perryville, Buchheit-Courtway currently lives in her hometown with her husband, David. They have five grown children and 16 grandchildren, and attend First Baptist Church Festus/Crystal City.
