Biography

Curtis Paul King (born 1946) is an American businessman and politician affiliated with the Republican Party. He has been a member of the Washington State Senate since 2007, representing District 14. King holds B.S. degrees in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Washington.

Before entering politics, King had a successful business career. He ran a commercial cabinet shop alongside his father and brother, growing it into a company with 40 employees. Additionally, he served as the past president of the Central Washington State Fair Board for 16 years.

In the Legislature, Senator King has been an active participant in shaping transportation policy. He is currently the Ranking Minority Member of the Senate Transportation Committee. His commitment to public service has earned him recognition, including the 2014 Guardians of Small Business award from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) and the 2021 Legislator of the Year award from the Washington Farm Bureau.

Curtis King continues to serve his constituents, advocating for their interests and contributing to the legislative process.
