Biography

Craig Williams is a distinguished member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 160th district. He is a Republican, serving parts of Delaware County and Chester County. His tenure in the House began in 2021 and continues to date.

In his role, Williams has been assigned to several committees. He serves as the Republican Chair for the Consumer Protection, Technology & Utilities Subcommittee on Utilities. He also chairs the Human Services Subcommittee on Drugs and Alcohol, and the Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Subcommittee on Military and Veterans Facilities.

Before his political career, Williams had a rich personal history. He is married to Jennifer Arbittier Williams. Professionally, he is an attorney. His educational background is impressive, having graduated from Bartlett High School in Anchorage, AK in 1983. He then attended Duke University, earning a BA in 1987. He continued his education at the University of Florida, College of Law, where he received his JD in 1997. He also holds an LLM from Columbia University, School of Law, which he earned in 2001.

In addition to his legal career, Williams served in the United States Marine Corps. He is a veteran, having retired as a Colonel after 28 years of service. During the Gulf War, he flew 56 combat missions in the F/A-18D and was personally decorated eleven times, including twice for acts of Valor in combat.

As a legislator, Williams has been involved in several initiatives. He has co-sponsored numerous memoranda and legislation in the 2023-2024 session. He has also been active in combating the deadly “Tranq” drug epidemic and enhancing county jail safety and infrastructure across Pennsylvania.
