Biography

Lucinda “Cindy” Rosenwald was born on April 23, 1954. She is a Democratic state senator for the 13th district of New Hampshire, representing six of Nashua’s nine wards since 2018. Rosenwald serves on the Senate Capital Budget, Executive Departments & Administration, and Finance committees.

Before her tenure in the Senate, Rosenwald served 14 years in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. Throughout her career in public service, Cindy has been a strong advocate for affordable health care and policies to help working families. In the Senate, Cindy serves on the Finance, Ways and Means, and Fiscal Committees. She is a member of the National Conference of State Legislatures Task Force on Health Reform Implementation. She has received numerous awards from human service advocacy groups for her legislative work.

Cindy has a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a master’s degree from Rivier University. Prior to taking office, she was a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She has also worked in hospital marketing and public relations and formerly was a vice president at Ted Bates Advertising/New York, where she worked with health care and packaged foods clients.

Cindy and her husband, Dr. Peter Klementowicz, have two adult children and one grandchild.
