Charles Younger, known as Chuck Younger, was born on August 11, 1963, in Columbus, Mississippi. He is a member of the Republican Party and has been serving in the Mississippi State Senate from the 17th district since 2014. His current term is set to end on January 4, 2028.

Before his political career, Younger was encouraged by friends and inspired by his father’s involvement in politics. This led him on a journey that eventually resulted in him representing his district in the Mississippi Senate. He is currently serving as the chair of the Mississippi Senate’s agriculture committee, where he takes pride in advocating for the agricultural community.

In addition to his political career, Younger is also involved in various organizations. He is a member of Gideons, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Farm Bureau, Cattlemen’s Association, District 5 Volunteer Fire Department, Prairie Land Water Association, National Federation of Independent Business, National Rifle Association lifetime, and Lowndes Forestry Association.

In the 2023 elections, Younger ran for re-election to the Mississippi State Senate to represent District 17. He won in the general election on November 7, 2023. His tenure has been marked by his commitment to his constituents and his dedication to serving the people of Mississippi.
