Biography

Chris True is an American politician who serves as a Republican member for the Rockingham 9th district of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He has been a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from the Rockingham 4th district from 2014 until December 7, 2022. After that, he assumed office for the Rockingham 9th district on December 7, 2022.

Chris True lives in Sandown, New Hampshire. He graduated from Scarborough High School and later attended The University of Southern Maine in Portland, Maine, where he studied Political Science and Education. He served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police from 1974 to 1976.

In addition to his political career, True has experience working in the trucking industry. He also served as the chairman of a zoning board of adjustment from 2013 to 2021.

In terms of his political career, True has been assigned to several committees during his tenure. These include the House Executive Departments and Administration Committee in 2023-2024, the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee in 2021-2022, and the House Transportation Committee in 2019-2020 and 2015.

True ran for re-election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Rockingham 9 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. His current term ends on December 4, 2024.
