State Representative Chris Stewart was elected to his first term in the Connecticut General Assembly in November of 2024, and represents the 51st General Assembly District including the towns of Killingly, Putnam, and Thompson. Rep. Stewart will serve on the Education, Environment, and Human Services Committees for the 2025 and 2026 Connecticut Legislative Sessions.
Chris, his wife Lindsey, and their sons Jaxson and Dakota have resided in Putnam, Connecticut, for the last 17 years. Born in New Haven, Chris pursued his education at Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts.
Chris has built a long-standing career in the human service sector serving at risk populations in his community. Additionally, his involvement extends to serving on the Putnam Board of Education and acting as the CABE Area 4 Director.
Beyond his professional and civic commitments, his life is enriched by precious family moments and the rewarding experience of coaching local youth sports teams. His dedication to the community drives him, and Chris is passionate about making a difference.
