Representative Carolyn Caton is a dedicated public servant and a proud member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 33. A Republican, she was elected to her first term in November 2024 and officially assumed office on January 8, 2025. Her district encompasses parts of Jackson County, and she has quickly become a respected voice for her constituents.

Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Carolyn Caton has deep roots in her community. She spent most of her life in Blue Springs, where she graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1984. Her commitment to education and personal growth led her to pursue higher studies at Baker University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1996, graduating with Cum Laude honors. She later furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Science in Public Service Administration from the University of Evansville in 2004.

Before entering politics, Representative Caton built an impressive career in the transportation industry, amassing over 25 years of experience. Her expertise spanned various roles in less-than-truckload (LTL), truckload (TL), and logistics operations. Her leadership and problem-solving skills earned her recognition as Terminal Manager of the Year twice for a national LTL carrier, a testament to her professional excellence and dedication.

Beyond her professional achievements, Carolyn Caton has been a passionate advocate for her community. Her tenure as a park commissioner for Blue Springs was marked by significant accomplishments, including the park commission receiving an award for Outstanding Park Commission for a City of Under 50k Residents. Her commitment to civic engagement also earned her the title of Volunteer of the Year from the Jackson County Republican Party.

Representative Caton’s dedication extends to her faith and community service. She has served as an elder and board member for the First Christian Church in Blue Springs and has been actively involved in organizing and supporting the MLK Community Event. Her volunteer work spans numerous organizations, reflecting her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
