Representative Carla Schuessler is a Republican representing District 61 in Horry County. Born on September 18, 1972, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, she currently resides in Horry County. Schuessler holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University (Class of 1996).

Her professional background includes serving as the Chief Operating Officer of Complete Legal Defense Team and as the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Horry County. Additionally, she has been actively involved in community leadership roles, such as being a member of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Representative Schuessler is dedicated to public service and has contributed significantly to her community. She is passionate about housing and community development, and her work reflects her commitment to making a positive impact.
