Byron H. Pelton is a dedicated public servant and a member of the Republican Party from Sterling, Colorado. He represents Colorado’s 1st Senate district, which includes all or part of Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld, and Yuma, counties in northeast Colorado.
Pelton assumed office on January 9, 2023, and his current term is set to end on January 13, 2027. Before his tenure as a state senator, Pelton served as a Logan County commissioner, a position to which he was elected in 2016 and re-elected in 2020.
In the 2022 Colorado Senate election, Pelton ran unopposed, securing 100% of the votes. His commitment to his constituents and his dedication to public service are evident in his political career.
