State Sen. Brian Buchanan has been the representative for Senate District 7 since 2018. This district includes Clinton County and portions of Boone, Hendricks, and Montgomery counties.
Buchanan contributes to legislative matters as a member of the Senate Committees on Tax and Fiscal Policy; Insurance and Financial Institutions; and Education and Career Development.
In addition to his public service role, Buchanan is actively involved in his family’s business, Buchanan Hauling and Rigging Inc., overseeing a fleet of over 300 tractor/trailers and managing a logistics division. His professional background includes serving as the executive director of the Indiana FFA Foundation. He also dedicates his time as an AgrIInstitute board member, Indiana FFA Leadership Center Committee member, and Boone County Mentorship Program mentor. Buchanan and his family are members of Lebanon Christian Church.
Buchanan earned his bachelor’s degree in agricultural education from Purdue University. He, along with his wife Elisha, resides in Lebanon and is the proud parent of two children.
