Biography

Brian Adams (born December 27, 1969, in Mount Clemens, Michigan) is a member of the South Carolina Senate. He assumed office on November 9, 2020, succeeding Paul Campbell. Adams is a Republican and serves on several committees, including Banking and Insurance, Corrections and Penology, Family and Veteran’s Services, Fish, Game and Forestry, and Judiciary. Notably, he is a strong advocate for term limits.

Before his political career, Adams had a diverse background. He retired as a police officer and co-owns Tri-County Appraisals. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1989 and later married Michelle Lynn Adams. The couple has four children: Ryan Scott, Tyler Hunter, Lauren Nicole, and Dylan Nicholas. Adams currently resides in Goose Creek, South Carolina.
