Brandon Markosek is an American politician serving as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from the 25th district. He was elected in November 2020 and assumed office on December 1, 2018, succeeding his father, Joseph Markosek.

Born on December 25, 1992, in Pennsylvania, Brandon Markosek has a strong educational background. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and history from Duquesne University in 2015 and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017. He has also taken courses through Stanford University’s online program.

Before his election to represent the 25th Legislative District, Representative Brandon Markosek served as a Community Outreach Representative for State Senator Jim Brewster. In this role, he was involved in directly working with residents to identify community needs, while working to best address those needs in the district and in Harrisburg.

In addition to his political career, Brandon Markosek has remained committed and active in the community. He served as a board member for Visit Monroeville and the Monroeville Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Friends of Monroeville Library, Monroeville Chamber of Commerce, and St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in Monroeville. His vested interests champion the betterment of Allegheny County and beyond.

His legislative priorities include providing sufficient funding for senior citizen-based programs, confronting the opioid epidemic, ensuring greater public safety, securing increased funding for all levels of education, and bolstering the area’s economy to create jobs. Brandon is dedicated to maintaining efficient constituent services in his district office.
