Biography

Ben Hornok, an American Republican politician and general contractor, currently serves as a member of the Wyoming House of Representatives from the 42nd district. Elected on November 8, 2022, in the 2022 Wyoming House of Representatives election, he assumed office on January 2, 2023.

Early Life and Values

Ben grew up as the second of six children in a pastor’s home. With that many siblings, there was always fair teamwork, and they learned to get along with each other. His father instilled values and a love for the outdoors as they hunted together. Ben’s grandfather, also a pastor and a Pearl Harbor survivor, taught him to fish.

Passion for Wyoming

Having traveled through Wyoming on road trips during his upbringing, Ben was intrigued by the state’s welcome signs that used to say “Like No Place On Earth.” He wanted to experience this unique place that was like no other.

Education and Career

Ben obtained a B.A. in Biblical Studies at Frontier School of the Bible in 1997 and studied Construction Management at Salt Lake Community College in 2003. Outside of politics, he works as a general contractor.
