Biography

Barry Faulkner, also known as F. Barrett Faulkner, is a distinguished member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Cheshire District 10. He assumed office on December 7, 2022, and his current term ends on December 4, 2024.

Born and raised in Keene, New Hampshire, Faulkner is a proud product of the local education system, having attended Keene schools and the prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy. He furthered his education at Harvard University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in American Government and a Master’s degree in City Planning. He also holds a Juris Doctor (JD), summa cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School.

Faulkner has a rich and varied professional background. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1971 to 1977, leaving with the rank of Sergeant. He then embarked on a 30-year career managing transportation planning projects and environmental analyses in Boston, New York, and metropolitan areas across the country. Currently, he practices law in Keene as part of BCM Environmental & Land Law, PLLC.

In addition to his legal and planning work, Faulkner, along with his brothers, owns and manages more than 400 acres of forest land and hay fields in Westmoreland and Walpole. Most of this land is under conservation easement and is kept open to the public for hiking, hunting, picnics, or just enjoying the view.
