Biography

Representative Barbara Ann Fenton-Fung (R-Dist. 15, Cranston) was elected to the House of Representatives in November 2020. She is a member of the House Health and Human Services Committee, the House Environment and Natural Resources Committee, the House Labor Committee, and the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee.

She is a 1998 graduate of Middletown High School and she received a Bachelor of Science degree in rehabilitation medicine from Northeastern University in 2004 and an emergency management certificate from Auburn University in 2019. Representative Fenton-Fung has also earned a Master’s of science in physical therapy from Northeastern University in 2005 and a Master’s of science in digital media management from Arkansas State University in 2020.

Representative Fenton-Fung is currently employed as a physical therapist by Lifespan. She is currently serving on the Providence Committee on Foreign Relations and the Cranston Substance Abuse Task Force.

Born on December 10, 1980, she is married to Allan Fung, the former mayor of Cranston, and they reside in Cranston.​
