Austin Baeth is a member of the Democratic Party and represents District 36 in the Iowa House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 1, 2023, and his current term ends on January 1, 2025.

Baeth was born in Des Moines, Iowa. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in 2007, a doctorate in medicine from the University of Iowa in 2012, and a graduate degree from the University of Colorado in 2015. His career experience includes working as a physician.

Baeth ran for election to the Iowa House of Representatives to represent District 36 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. He completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey in 2022.
