Biography

Born and raised in the 49th Legislative District, Annette Cleveland comes to Olympia as a champion and advocate of education, small business, affordable health care, and senior and veterans affairs. She is serving her third term as state senator after first winning election to the Senate in 2012.

Annette brings over 30 years of public and private sector knowledge to her role. Her experience includes valuable service on the Association of Washington Business Board of Directors, the Washington State Hospital Association’s Public Policy Advisory Group, and the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce’s Public Policy Advisory Committee. Most recently, she has been associated with a non-profit health system.

Annette approaches challenges head-on to find common sense and compassionate solutions. She prioritizes access to housing, quality education, affordable health care, and family-wage jobs to build strong, healthy communities. Annette lives in Vancouver with her husband and daughter, always putting people first.
