Biography

Ann Matlack is a member of the Democratic Party and currently serves in the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 43. She assumed office on December 7, 2022, and her current term is set to end on December 4, 2024.

Matlack lives in St. George, Maine. She graduated from Kempsville High School in 1973 and earned a B.S. in education from the University of Maine in 1977. Her career experience includes working as the assistant to the city manager of the City of Rockland, Maine, a graduate assistant with the Institute for Public Sector Innovation, and an executive assistant with International Maritime Systems.

In terms of her political career, Matlack ran for re-election to the Maine House of Representatives to represent District 43 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. During her tenure, she has been assigned to several committees, including the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee and the Taxation Committee in 2023-2024, and the State and Local Government Committee (as Chair) and the Taxation Committee in 2021-2022.

As for her compensation, she receives a base salary of $16,245.12 for the first regular session and $11,668.32 for the second regular session, along with per diem allowances for lodging and meals.
