Andy Whitt, a member of the Republican Party, is a representative of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 6. He assumed office on November 7, 2018, and his current term ends on November 4, 2026.
Whitt ran for re-election to the Alabama House of Representatives to represent District 6 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Whitt attended Louisiana State University’s Graduate School of Banking. After graduation, he served as vice president of First American Bank. Following this, he served as senior vice president and Madison County executive of First National Bank. In addition, he is a sitting board member at Athens State University Foundation Board.
In terms of committee assignments for the years 2023-2024, Whitt was assigned to the following committees: Economic Development and Tourism Committee (Chair), Financial Services Committee (Vice Chair), Limestone County Legislation Committee, and Madison County Legislation Committee.

In the general election for Alabama House of Representatives District 6 on November 8, 2022, incumbent Andy Whitt defeated Greg Turner. Andy Whitt secured 80.1% of the votes (11,052 votes), while Greg Turner secured 18.8% of the votes (2,597 votes). Other/Write-in votes accounted for 1.1% of the votes (147 votes).
