Andy Boyd

Andy Boyd is a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 37. He is affiliated with the Republican Party. He assumed office on November 22, 2022, and his current term ends on January 4, 2028.

Andy Boyd was born in Columbus, Mississippi. He earned a B.S. in business administration from Mississippi State University in 1978. His career experience includes working as a partner and employee at Swoope Insurance Agency, his family business. Boyd also worked as the executive director of the YMCA, where he also served on the board of directors.

Boyd ran for re-election to the Mississippi House of Representatives to represent District 37. He won in the general election on November 7, 2023.

In addition to his political career, Boyd has been involved in various committees. During the 2023-2024 period, Boyd was assigned to the following committees: Banking and Financial Services Committee, Conservation and Water Resources Committee, House County Affairs Committee, Public Utilities Committee, and Youth and Family Affairs Committee.
