Andy Berry

Andy Berry is a dedicated leader and a member of the Mississippi State Senate, representing the 35th district. He assumed office on January 2, 2024, and his current term ends on January 4, 2028.

Early Life and Education

Berry was born in Jackson, Mississippi. He attended Simpson County Academy, Copiah Lincoln Community College, and Mississippi State University.

Career

Before his political career, Berry worked for the Mississippi Cattlemen’s Association and the affiliated Mississippi Beef Council. He is an avid cattle farmer and has been committed to advancing the interests of cattlemen in the state.

Political Career

Berry ran for election to the Mississippi State Senate to represent District 35 upon the retirement of Chris Caughman. He was uncontented in the primary and general election and won the general election on November 7, 2023.

His county covers parts or all of Copiah, Jefferson Davis, Lawrence, and Simpson. In the state senate, he serves on several committees including Agriculture, County Affairs, Economic and Workforce Development, Environment Prot, Cons and Water Res, Finance, Forestry, Highways and Transportation, Investigate State Offices, and Judiciary, Division B.

Personal Life

Berry is married to Jennifer Berry and is of Baptist faith.
