Biography

Ali Rabe is a dedicated public servant and a member of the Idaho State Senate. She was born and raised in Boise, Idaho, and later moved to Middleton. She is a proud graduate of The College of Idaho, where she earned her B.A. in political economics, graduating summa cum laude. She furthered her education at William & Mary Law School, earning her J.D., cum laude.

Ali Rabe is a member of the Idaho State Bar and has had a diverse career in law and public service. She served as an asylum and refugee officer for the Department of Homeland Security, where she covered details on the U.S.-Mexico border, Turkey, El Salvador, and in multiple U.S. locations. She also worked for international nonprofit organizations in Cambodia and Sierra Leone, focusing on protecting communities’ agricultural land rights.

In addition to her work in law and public service, Ali Rabe is the executive director of Jesse Tree, a Treasure Valley nonprofit dedicated to preventing eviction and homelessness. She is also a board of trustees member at The College of Idaho.

Before her current role, she was a staff attorney for Bay Area communities addressing homelessness. Her commitment to public service and her passion for helping others is evident in her work and contributions to her community.

In 2012, she was recognized as a Boren Fellow. When she’s not working, Ali Rabe enjoys running, gardening, and reading. She is also a loving dog owner.
