Biography

Albert Michael Espy (born November 30, 1953) is a former Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from Mississippi. He represented Mississippi’s 2nd Congressional District as a Representative from January 6, 1987, to January 22, 1993. Over the course of his tenure, Espy served four terms in Congress, reflecting repeated electoral support from his district.

During his years in office, Espy was part of the Democratic Party delegation from Mississippi at the federal level. Serving in the U.S. House of Representatives, he represented the interests of the 2nd District in national legislative affairs throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s. His service concluded in early 1993, after which he left the House as a former member of Congress.
