Al Abdelaziz is a member of the Democratic Party serving in the New Jersey General Assembly. Representing the 35th Legislative District, he assumed office on January 23, 2025, and his current term is set to end in January 2026.
Al Abdelaziz has made history as the first Palestinian American to serve in the New Jersey General Assembly. He has worked as an Assistant Principal at Passaic County Technical Institute, where he focused on curriculum development, program evaluation, and community engagement. His commitment to education is further reflected in his academic achievements, holding a Master of Science in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton and a Bachelor of Science from William Paterson University.
Fluent in both English and Arabic, Abdelaziz is a passionate advocate for inclusivity and empowerment. He serves on several committees in the Assembly, including Education, Higher Education, and Housing, where he continues to work towards strengthening schools and ensuring that every voice is heard.
