Biography

State Sen. Aaron Freeman has represented Senate District 32, which includes portions of Johnson and Marion counties, since his election to the Senate in 2016. Freeman chairs the Senate Committee on Corrections and Criminal Law and is a member of the Senate Committees on Insurance and Financial Institutions, as well as Judiciary.

Outside the Senate, he serves as an attorney at his law office, The Freeman Law Office, LLC. He received his bachelor’s degree from Bradley University and Juris Doctor degree from the University of Dayton School of Law.

Freeman was previously a Marion County deputy prosecuting attorney and served for six years on the Indianapolis City-County Council. Freeman is a current precinct committeeman in Franklin Township. He is also a recipient of the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council 2018 Legislative Excellence Award.

Freeman is married to the love of his life, Heather, and they have two young boys. He is a passionate Notre Dame Football fan and loves IndyCar racing.
